Abu Dhabi Ports Group has announced the classification of its Khalifa Port among the top five ports in the world on the Global Container Ports Performance Index "CPPI" issued by the World Bank and the Global Market Information Unit of Standard & Poor's.

This classification is a global economic indicator that has gained its great importance given that more than four-fifths of the global merchandise trade by volume is transported by sea, and about 35% of the total volume of shipments and more than 60% of shipments of commercial value are shipped in containers.
