It is well-known that my country, the UAE, is a country of goodness, generosity, and providing assistance to everyone in need, So, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, “may God protect him” and the follow-up of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, representative of the ruler in the Al Dhafra region, head of the Emirates Red Crescent Authority. The UAE is operating an air bridge to Khartoum to transport large quantities of aid and shelter materials. and the humanitarian needs of those affected by torrential rains and floods in Sudan.

The Red Crescent Authority is supervising the transfer of this aid to more than 140,000 affected beneficiaries and displaced persons in a number of Sudanese states most affected by the repercussions of the disaster, such as River Nile State, Khartoum State and Gezira State. The aid includes about 10,000 tents, 28,000 food and health parcels, 120 tons of various shelter materials, as well as urgent relief materials, with the aim of contributing to supporting the affected population and families of the victims, improving their living conditions, and supporting the Sudanese efforts and relevant institutions in containing and mitigating the crisis.
