The United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman signed, on Wednesday, 16 agreements and memoranda of understanding in the field of energy and cooperation on transport, communications and logistics, and the field of maritime transport, and cooperation and investment in the fields of industry. The agreements also covered the cultural and youth field, agricultural, livestock and fisheries wealth, food safety, higher education, scientific research, innovation and vocational training, news and information exchange, and information exchange related to money laundering and related predicate crimes and terrorist financing.

Agreements were also signed in the field of cooperation between Oman Railways and Etihad Rail, and between the Omani Communications and Information Technology Group "Al-Iqtiqa Group", the Muscat Stock Exchange and the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, and the remote trading of brokerage companies through electronic trading, according to the Oman News Agency. Among the agreements are double listings of securities, cooperation between the Muscat Clearing and Depository Company and the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Company, and double listings of securities.
