The UAE is Russia's largest trading partner in the Gulf region, and according to data, trade between the two countries grew in 2021 by 64.34% compared to 2020 and reached about $5.35 billion. The trade balance is in favor of Moscow, and Russia's exports to the UAE in 2021 amounted to about 5.081 billion dollars, an increase of 74.52% in 2021 compared to 2020. As for the UAE's imports from Russia, it amounted to $276.27 million in 2021, a decrease of 20.71% in 2021 compared to 2020.

The visit of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed these days to Russia is an important event of its kind, because the two presidents will discuss the problems of the region, especially the problem of Ukraine, and try to reach a solution that satisfies all parties. They will also discuss trade relations between the two countries.
