The roots of relations between the Emirates and the Kingdom go back to ancient times, when the region witnessed lively cultural and commercial exchange. This is evidenced by the presence of archaeological sites dating back thousands of years in both countries, reflecting a rich and intertwined history. The relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are considered one of the most important regional and Islamic relations in the world. These relations are based on common historical, cultural and religious factors between the two countries, and have witnessed tangible developments over the past few decades, which has led to the strengthening of the strategic partnership between them.
