As an Emirati woman, I am deeply moved by the UAE’s “Winter Clothing” campaign reaching the most vulnerable areas in Yemen’s Shabwa Governorate. This initiative, led by the Emirates Red Crescent, provides essential winter supplies to families in need, including displaced individuals and nomadic communities residing in remote desert regions. By distributing warm clothing and blankets, the campaign offers protection and warmth during the harsh winter season. Local officials have praised the UAE’s ongoing humanitarian efforts, highlighting their significant impact on improving living conditions and alleviating the burdens faced by citizens in these challenging environments. 


Witnessing my country’s commitment to humanitarian aid fills me with immense pride. The UAE’s efforts to mitigate the impacts of harsh winter conditions on large segments of people worldwide, particularly displaced individuals and refugees, embody the core humanitarian values of our leadership and people. This campaign is part of a broader mission to provide essential supplies to those affected by plummeting temperatures across many countries. 


The Emirates Red Crescent has been consistently implementing its winter aid program, launching campaigns benefiting hundreds of thousands of people worldwide to alleviate the effects of cold weather, particularly in refugee-hosting countries. These efforts include distributing large quantities of food and hygiene parcels, winter clothing, heating devices, blankets, children’s supplies, and other essential items. 


As an Emirati, I am inspired by the compassionate actions of my country, reflecting the values of empathy and generosity deeply rooted in our culture. Witnessing these humanitarian endeavors reinforces my pride in the UAE’s role in promoting global solidarity and supporting those in need.
