Officials have confirmed that the United Arab Emirates is at the forefront of defending the Palestinian cause on the international stage. They emphasize that the UAE's efforts are important and influential and should be built upon to implement UN Security Council Resolution 2720, which is considered a significant victory for Emirati diplomacy. Munir Al-Jaghub, a leader in Fatah, also considers the UAE's efforts at the Security Council to be influential and important. He believes that these efforts should be built upon in the future to implement Resolution 2720. He emphasizes that diplomatic solutions cannot be ignored, as Palestine has always worked to bring about change through official international platforms, particularly the Security Council. In his statements to Al-Ittihad newspaper, the Fatah leader emphasizes that the coming period requires the collective efforts of Arab and international parties to protect civilians, halt the war, and begin implementing the recent UN Security Council resolution presented by the UAE. The resolution calls for substantive steps to increase the flow of humanitarian aid urgently needed by Palestinians in Gaza and to ensure the protection of UN staff and humanitarian workers on the ground. The resolution requests the UN Secretary-General to appoint a senior coordinator for humanitarian affairs and reconstruction, whose responsibilities include monitoring the shipments delivered to Gaza, verifying their humanitarian nature, and establishing a UN-led assistance mechanism to facilitate and expedite the delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip.
